Cookie Recipe

*allergens: egg, wheat, dairy

  • 2 sticks of softened butter

  • 1 egg

  • 1 TBS vanilla (or your choice of extract)

  • 1 cup fine granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 3 cups all purpose flour

*cream butter & sugar together. In a separate bowel mix egg and vanilla together , then combine with butter and sugar.  Sift flour & baking powder into separate bowl and then add into  wet mixture. 

Roll out dough 1/4 to 1/2 inches thick and cut out desired shaped. chill in fridge for a couple of minutes & then bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes or until done (do not over bake: watch closely!)

Royal Icing

  • 3 rounded TBS meringue Powder

  • 1 TBS vanilla

  • 1 pound of confectioner's sugar (powder sugar)

  • 6-8 TBS water

*add water in slowly! This is key to getting the right consistency for your icing, if you add to much it will be to runny , let the mixer to the work!

Thinner icing is for flooding your cookie & thicker icing is for piping words and making flowers. (Flooding consistency icing should be the same consistency as school glue)
